Can you use your GoPro action cameras as a webcam? As many of us know, we all have action cameras such as a GoPro, but we both thought at the same time why can’t we use our GoPro’s from being used at the movies, travel, vacations, and everything else and use it as a webcam! GoPro released in July of 2020 the GoPro Webcam app, now you are able to have this both on Mac (OS) and PC (Windows).
Most of the GoPros that you have could be compatible but it's best to check, the best we know from my gathered research is that the latest GoPros, such as the Hero 9 Black, Hero 8 Black, Hero 7 Black, Hero 6 Black, Hero 5 Black, and the Hero 4 Black currently accept the application. If you have an action camera such as a Hero Session or the Hero+ in old good 2018, you should stick around for your knowledge once you have a GoPro in the next or so year that you can get one!
Windows Users you can easily download the Webcam software in the link listed and continue your setup, if you have a Mac OS then follow the link provided then click on “Instructions for Mac Users” then the 1st step under step 2 where it’s hyperlinked and the text color is blue click on that and it will download automatically and begin setup.
