1. "Just Keep Finding" / Finding Your Niche
Just like in Finding Dory you need to "Keep On Swimming" because you are going through your own journey through life and your channel's future too!
In order for our youtube channel to be available to our full advantage let's think about what you love to do as your hobbies, don't just look at the recent trends and think to ourselves "The youtube algorithm is showing me XYZ just blew up so I should keep doing it too!" the simple answer here is don't!
Why no?
It's because we must optimize for humans and never robots this main reason and the algorithm is one that just calculates what a viewer is doing while when you optimize for a human thing at it as if you are interested in getting take-out from a restaurant this is from organic growth.
And when the food from the restaurant tastes overwhelming great, wouldn't you recommend it to another person to try out and they will spread your restaurant or channel to the next step creating an interested audience?
So right now, think about what is your Niche by figuring out what are your favorite hobbies? If you can't think about your hobbies or don't have any, then ask your parents, family member, and relatives (from more than one person) and even a friend about what you like to do! Quick warning accepts their answers because it may not be what you wanted or expected however just trust them, Honesty is the policy here.
In this specific article/podcast, the niche was specifically Technology, with it being technology (or if you have other niches in mind) experiment with it and create video ideas with what you know if you are a geek or 'nerd' (in a positive way) then you can get creative and start making youtube videos about these things! (Coming Up!) however, we need to get more in depth!!
For this instance, we have the niche of Technology (This can be different too like the different amounts of sports, beauty, workouts, food, and a whole lot!) don't be discouraged that it's 'saturated' because guess what! Everything online is saturated it's about how you can improve and make a difference in someone's life or their thoughts (or even towards getting better at giving people information!) like what I am going for.
So here we have Technology right, so let's now go even more in-depth what is in Technology there are camera equipment, smart home aids, gaming setups, desk Battlestations (aka productivity), Google classroom, literally a whole lot. Now choose what you can do in order to offer the most that can help you, deep-dive, into your niche! After finding your niche we'll need to create a video but how, we don't have any video ideas now but here's how!

When finding your first video idea or particularly a video in the niche you chosen this may seem 'new' to you and hard but really is particularly very easy and simple!
The reason why this is simple, that if we first type in the YouTube Search,

Now when we use YouTube/Google search, let's insert a product or model number of something or simply a random topic like "investing in APPL" or something like that. Now right after that, you will see suggestions right below, the most recent (top 6). Those are real accurate YouTube results on what people are looking at right now!! So guess what, you could/can make videos related to the topic/ search ranking suggestion [by choosing the ones you are interested in and what to do] and use the current ones that rank on there to help you with what you need to improve and for planning out your video.

Why Lighting Is Essential!
Literally, the first impression of your videos is first of all the Thumbnail after the thumbnail is your hook, while it's the hook to get the viewer going, you know letting people see what you are doing is what they need or even if you are doing a voiceover! Lighting is essential because if you walk in a hallway and it's pitch black wouldn't you be scared because you could hit a wall or something above you could fall, basically anything bad could happen! A camera is fine as a phone however lead yourself to light your videos this is one of the key pathways to building a community.

4. What Is Best When I Make A 'Tech' Video?
We simply talked about what is considered best' not perfect but best' for your videos?
You can simply start your channel for your "best camera" simply by using your laptop webcam however you are restricted to what you have, if you are a gamer you may see an idea from another YouTube creator such as Dream but it isn't rare that you see people trying to copy him and it gets saturated if you want to make a video like something like a Speedrun and get popular or "viral" then put a twist to it. You could do it blindfolded with a camera in front of you, you can even do a speedrun while eating at the same time or being teleported to any biome in a Minecraft world and you get lost and have to find your way to the end.
Simply said than done, take one idea and see how you can make it better!

Ever since youtube had started everyone grew and upgraded their equipment while investing into their YouTube channel simply by using your phone, tablet, or laptop camera. No excuses I started with one of these too and slowly grew from there, if you have an old DSLR or mirrorless camera from an uncle go ahead and borrow it but be sure you can withhold the weight!

5. Thumbnail Goals
When considerably making a thumbnail people may go and think 'hehe this seems funny" THE ANSWER IS NO! If you don't have a strategy intact for your thumbnail or a way to get the eye of the viewer (you are one too) go ahead and start with looking at your YouTube watch history, if you look at the title then what matches with the title in that video's thumbnail that you watched.
Think about what makes you curious about it. Brendan and I also recommend you to read this article about The 3 Grid Rule. [Reference Article Hyperlinked.]
If you go into a high school class or a college class about video and photography you probably know about this with some prior knowledge however if you hadn't, The 3 Grid Rule shows the appearance of an object or a noun (person, place, or thing) this does not have to apply to every single thing however it can be used as a perfect tool to work on eye-catching thumbnails.
If you have a school that gives you access to Adobe Photoshop or some photo editing software go ahead and use your resources! Use the resources from your school or business as long as it lasts! (Keep using it until it's gone!)

6. Audio, Audio, Audio!
If you have your camera ready, phone ready, or even a high-quality camera. Did you know the audio quality is the most important in every single video! Crispy audio with a little bit of air-breathing room will be best for your audience. Bad audio get fewer viewers, I remember years ago hearing from another creator who I forgot but they had said that more people watch videos with better audio generally because they can continue their process like a podcast without having to look. However, if you have a bad video then most people will click off the video because it would seem blurry however loyal viewers will stick around and listen to the audio, now this does not happen usually that often it just depends upon what most of your viewers like from the look of your channel and video analytics.

7. Let's Earn! / Affiliate Programs
Yes, a dee Yes! Now we don't want to be a greedy fish okay!! But it isn't called being a "YouTuber" if you don't treat it like a business so don't rant at your viewers forcing them to buy something however encourage them to use your links that you have to provide them the equipment that they need!
Now I do know most people reading this article are teenagers to adults so from ages 16+ you can setup affiliate programs make videos of the item that you love and link it back, this works well if you are in the Tech Niche, beauty niche, organization Niche, A WHOLE LOT even gaming! Your gear counts too! HOWEVER, IF YOU ARE IN THE GET RICH SCHEME, well haha this isn't for you! Growing a YouTube channel or a business takes a long time for it to grow, so please be patient!!
Many companies such as Amazon, Walmart, Costco, literally almost every single company in this world that is a big retailer or a medium retailer/store you can literally earn a small commission, your viewer DOES NOT get an extra fee to pay like Doordash for your delivery driver (Mmm! Red Robbins + In-N-Out!!) anyways what happens is a cookie is sent back and forth to claim you (as the creator) to get commissioned back after a person buys the item and you will be later notified of your payment after a couple of months.
